All Riders: All riders learn the basic balanced riding position with correct alignment of the rider’s body through the head, torso, hips, and ankles with heels down and a direct line of contact through the reins to the rider’s hands. Mastering this position facilitates learning discipline specific skills.
English Riders: English riders will progress from the basic balanced riding position to learning forward seat and two-point positions for Jumping, and the deep balanced seat for Dressage. English riders have the opportunity to learn skills for Dressage, Jumping, Cross Country, and Trail Riding.
Western Riders: Western riders will progress from the basic balanced riding position to learning different one- and two-handed reining techniques depending on their discipline specialization. Western riders have the opportunity to learn skills for Western Dressage, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Working Ranch Horse, and Trail Riding.
